NCRS Announces an upgrade to the NCRS Technical Discussion Board

Effective March 1st, the NCRS Technical Discussion will be upgraded to new software with a different look and feel.  New options will include uploading pictures to our service.

The upgrade to the NCRS Technical Discussion Board is the first step of the NCRS Board of Directors Information Technology plan announced during the summer Board meeting in Boston.

The upgraded NCRS Technical Discussion Board will be for “Members Only” posting.  Non-members will have limited time access.  Non-members will be able to view only and not allowed to post.

Expect more to come in 2008 from upgrading the NCRS website.

The following steps must be completed to access the upgraded NCRS Technical Discussion Board (TDB):

  1. Complete the initial Forum Account/Password Retrieval form
    1. Copy and paste this link into your browser to access the form http://www.ncrs.org/forums/register/initiate.php
    2. Your valid NCRS Membership # and ZIP code as printed on your Restorer or Driveline Mailing Label must be entered on this form

 

  1. Complete the Forum Account Activation Form in full; select new passwords, include your birth day, phone number and e-mail address and select the Chapters you are affiliated with (if applicable)

 

Note: Record your name and membership number as it appears.  Your TDB login User Name requires an exact match to this spelling, including UPPER/lower case characters

 

  1. After successful completion of the Forum Account Activation Form, your browser will be redirected to the upgraded NCRS Technical Discussion Board link: http://www.ncrs.org/forums/

 

  1. Complete the login using the following format:

User Name:  John Doe (55555)

Password:  enter the password that was entered on the Forum Account Activation Form

 

Note:  Your User Name followed by your NCRS number in parenthesis must be entered exactly as it was shown on the Forum Account Activation Form
